Technical data
Bonded seals are a combination of a metal washer and an elastomer lip bonded to the metal element by vulcanization.
The metal washer (in galvanized steel or stainless steel) ensures that the connection components are securely fastened. The thickness of the washer limits the compression of the elastomer lip (NBR or FKM/Viton®) and thus prevents the seal from being over-tightened, thus ensuring tightness. The internal pressure increases the sealing force by activating the sealing lip. Bonded seals are available in two different formats, standard and self-centralizing.
