FFKM (perfluoroelastomer) cord-ring offers excellent resistance to both aggressive chemicals and extremely high temperatures. It combines low compression set with strong sealing properties. Using a special adhesive for FFKM, the cord can be hot bonded or vulcanized to form gaskets of virtually any diameter, creating a solid molecular bond that retains its thermal and chemical properties.
Manufacturing the gasket you need is now easier than ever thanks to the use of Cord-Ring and two very practical tools available from JIOrings. With the cord-ring cutting tool, compatible with diameters from 2.62 mm to 14 mm, you can achieve clean and precise cuts. And with the cord-ring bonding/splicing tool, suitable for diameters from 2.50 mm to 20 mm, you can join the cord ends to create custom gaskets with total reliability. This solution allows you to adapt the seals to the specific needs of each application quickly, easily and effectively.
At JIOrings we offer this product on demand, adapting to the specific needs of each application or client. We usually supply the cord-ring on spools, but we understand that due to the material’s characteristics and cost, it is often necessary to reduce the length as much as possible. That’s why we also offer the option of supplying it in 1, 3, 5, 10, 15 or 25 meter strips, adjusting to exactly what you need for your project.
In addition to our FFKM O-rings in stock, we can manufacture Cord-Ring resistant to high temperatures (up to 330 °C), chemical-resistant formulations for over a thousand substances, low outgassing versions, and compounds approved for food contact (FDA).
