Differences between profiles

Thanks to its simple design and effective sealing capacity, it is widely used in the industry in hydraulic and pneumatic systems. Additionally, O-ring profiles offer excellent sealing capacity for general applications and direct contact with drinking water or food products when the appropriate material is selected.

• Square Cord or Profile: The square cord provides a greater contact surface compared to the O-ring, which enhances its sealing capacity in low-pressure and static environments. This profile type is ideal when firm sealing is required without deformations. In slow-moving applications, the square profile reduces the risk of leaks and wear, as its uniform section better distributes the pressure.

• X-Ring Cord or Profile: X-ring cord have four sealing lips instead of the single section in X-ring or square profiles. This allows for greater sealing capacity and extrusion resistance, making the quad-ring cord ideal for high-pressure and dynamic movement applications.
