VS V-RINGS
The V-Ring is an elastomer ring for sealing rotating shafts in the absence of pressure. It is often used to ensure sealing against dust, mud, water, oil and other fluids.
The dynamic seal is made from the flexible lip which is supported on the metal part orthogonal to the rotating shaft. Thanks to its own elastic tension, the body of the V-Ring remains stable on the shaft, rolls along with it and allows the lip to always remain in contact with the metal part. During the rotation of the V-Ring, the centrifugal force projects the droplets or particles away from the device, thus preventing their penetration into the surface to be protected. In addition, the V-Ring combines the sealing of the lip with the mechanical and centrifugal effect against external agents, liquids or solids. The result is that, within certain peripheral speed limits, it ensures that grease or oil does not escape to the outside and, at the same time, that fluids or dirt present on the outside do not enter.
VS profile is a facial effect V-Ring composed of a conical rear face and a low radial section. Its large body ensures a higher radial force than VA design.
