SPQA - Double-acting composite piston seals
The SPQA piston seal is composed by a filled PTFE ring (generally 40% bronze) and an X-ring forming the dynamic part, as well as two energizing O-rings performing the static sealing function. It is a development of the SPAQ profile that allows a better control of friction thanks to the X-ring action. The two O-rings action limits gas permeability. In fact, this profile has been developed to achieve optimum sealing in applications requiring separation between fluids or fluid and gas. It is efficient in applications with high pressure and high sliding speed without having stick-slip effect. It is particularly suitable for machine tools, presses, rolling mills, cylinders and accumulators.
